On Sunday, we met Diella Zadrimore, the new virtual assistant of the e-albania portal. Diella is at the service of citizens, to give them voice and visual answers to the questions they will have. This is just one of the services created by Artificial Intelligence, which is being talked about so much today all over the world.
But how much is being used in Albania and where?
In addition to public services, where the goal is to revolutionize the way citizens interact with state institutions, some businesses are also using artificial intelligence in some processes.
For example, Albanian businesses have been considering the lack of employees as a major concern for their activities in recent years. To fill the gap, many of them have turned to foreign markets to import workers, while some others are using Artificial Intelligence instead of humans.
The survey conducted by the Balkan Barometer shows that 3% of businesses surveyed in our country claimed to have replaced employees with Artificial Intelligence. Also, 3% of businesses in Kosovo and Montenegro had replaced people with Artificial Intelligence.
Meanwhile, in the world, artificial intelligence is used by businesses much more and to cover several important processes.
Among the largest companies globally, we mention Google; Amazon; Microsoft; Tesla; Apple; Facebook (Meta) etc. These companies use Artificial Intelligence for a number of functions that include: improving customer experience, automating internal processes, developing autonomous technologies, advancing big data analytics, etc.
