No longer just for infrastructure, technology or business expansion. The focus of government assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises is shifting towards human resources. This is also one of the main recommendations of international partners and the European Union, so that the abandonment of the country can be stopped.
For businesses that want to benefit from state funds, their main goal should be to train employees to adapt to the technological advances of the time. In some sectors, state aid this year will be 100%.
There are about 5,842 small and 1,306 medium-sized enterprises with a number of employees from 10 to 249 throughout Albania. To increase competitiveness in the market, the government will provide businesses with up to 22 million lek. The government is also paying attention to the handicraft sector with funds reaching up to 10 million lek.
