A "home" for all religions, 210 thousand m2 of land in Petrela, the government establishes the "Faith Park"

All faiths under one “roof”. This is what the government aims to achieve through its latest project to establish the ‘Faith Park’, in the Petrela area of ​​Tirana, near the Castle. With a focus on ‘religious coexistence’, the park is said in the competition documents announced by the Albanian Investment Corporation to serve as a place that will unite different faiths.

This space should be dedicated to promoting interfaith harmony and highlighting the importance of nature in spiritual and cultural life.

The area where the Faith Park will be built is 210 thousand square meters on the edge of the Erzen Valley. The project should be designed to welcome 30 thousand visitors per year, and within it there will be structures that will serve for small events but also for events with a capacity of up to 500 people. Everything built within this park will be with the symbols of each faith.

Not just for visiting but also for sleeping. 100 'hospitality shelters' will be built inside the park for visitors to experience 'high spiritual well-being', the documents say. These hospitality units will be built in different models to accommodate different visitor profiles, including wellness tourists, spiritual pilgrims and VIP visitors.

Within the park there will also be restaurants tailored to the traditional cuisine of each religious community, as well as a pavilion with trees and plants that have special significance for religious beliefs.

Also within the park will be established the 'Museum of Memory' dedicated to the victims of religious persecution under the communist regime, which will offer an educational and reflective experience for visitors regarding the suffering and resistance of religious communities during this dark period of Albanian history.

The project announced by the Albanian Investment Corporation gives companies the opportunity to propose their ideas by May 2nd, and July 16th is the final phase for the detailed project. (A2 Televizion)
