The government opens a tender, from shoes to hats, for 27 million euros to outfit the police

The purchase of uniforms and shoes for the State Police is expected to cost at least 27 million euros. The Centralized Purchasing Operator announced this Monday the opening of the respective procedure, where the limit fund is a total of 2.7 billion lek, of which the largest share of 1.9 billion is for uniforms and the rest for shoes.

From uniforms and shoes to V-neck sweaters and sky-blue shirts, along with raincoats and trouser belts... The State Police is looking to purchase clothing for its employees. The Centralized Purchasing Operator has opened a tender worth 2.7 billion lek or 27 million euros for their purchase.

“Production should be organized in such a way that the supply of uniforms to police officers is carried out according to the summer or winter seasons, in order to cover needs in a timely manner. The delivery of summer uniform items should be carried out no later than May 1 of each year and the delivery of winter uniforms should be carried out no later than October 1 of each year.”

Regarding guarantees, the contracting authority underlines that the delivery of goods must be accompanied by the relevant declaration.

"Since we are dealing with uniform and footwear items for State Police employees, the quality of the selection of the winning economic operators must be maximum, based on their legal, technical, professional and financial capacity, as only economic operators that meet the qualification criteria as above can participate, ensuring that the offers are from qualified, serious, reliable and experienced companies with the aim of successfully implementing the framework agreement to be concluded."

The winning economic operator, before the start of production, must submit two physical models of each item which must comply with all the requirements presented.

“For goods manufactured outside the Buyer’s country, the Supplier shall be fully responsible for all taxes and duties, stamp duties, license fees and other such duties imposed outside the Buyer’s country.”

The limit fund for the purchase of clothing for the State Police is a total of 2.7 billion lek, of which the largest share of 1.9 billion is uniforms, and the rest is shoes. (A2 Televizion)
