According to sources for A2 CNN, it is reported that the purpose of these controls is to guarantee fair and safe working conditions, protecting employee rights and promoting legality in the tourism sector.
As part of this plan, the Inspectorate is expected to focus attention on the payment of health and social insurance, conducting rigorous checks on the registration and payment of contributions.
Likewise, the rights of workers under the age of 18 will be carefully monitored to ensure compliance with the law on the employment of minors and the prohibition of hazardous or night work.
Verifying the regularity of documentation for foreign workers and respecting their legal rights is also a priority of this plan.
The checks will also include the assessment of overtime pay, so that the calculation and payment are made in accordance with the Labor Code, and it will be guaranteed that each employee benefits from the weekly rest days they are entitled to.
