Tourism, construction and the effect of the wage reform influenced the country's economic growth in the third quarter of the year. The Gross Domestic Product was recorded at 4.09% during the peak of the tourist season, thus increasing the current level.
"Economic growth in tr. 3 is expected as the volume of the economy has higher rates. Increase in tourism, consumption and GDP. This gives a logical economic result", declared the economic expert Nunaj.
Accommodation leads with a 1.3% impact, followed by public administration and administrative activities with 0.91% and 0.81%, followed by construction and real estate.
"Accommodation and construction are giving their impact on the economy as a whole", emphasized the expert Nunaj.
An economic growth at the level of 4.09% percent would be good news only if it included all sectors. But agriculture and industry have been negatively affected.
"Supporting sectors such as industry and agriculture should be a priority for the economy because they have higher sustainability than tourism and construction. But also to create a "Made in Albania" product", said expert Nunaj.
Does GDP growth translate into more consumption for citizens?
"The increase in consumption in this period is expected as this includes the consumption of tourists, they are economic tourists who spend more on products than in bars and restaurants", replied Nunaj.
INSTAT informs that population consumption during the peak of the summer season increased by 0.83%, while administrative services by 6.8%.
Experts predict that the economy in 2025 will perform at the same rates as in the year we are leaving behind. (A2 Televizion)
