Four Kapshtica border police officers, including a shift manager, ended up in handcuffs after discovering a quantity of drugs in a vehicle.
Detailed checks by the Police Supervision Agency the day before at the southeast border crossing with Greece found that a quantity of hard drugs was hidden in one of the vehicles.
According to the data, the narcotic substance, in the amount of 6 kg, was heroin and was hidden in a specially adapted place in the vehicle, while its destination was Greece.
After the seizure of drugs during the AMP operation, several people were escorted by the Korça Local Police Directorate and border forces and the driver of the vehicle was arrested.

Following the investigations and information obtained through operational means, it was possible to document with evidence the involvement of police officers in international drug trafficking, who, through inaction and in violation of the law, did not exercise control over the vehicle driven by citizen VB, where a suspected quantity of the narcotic substance "Heroin" was hidden.
As material evidence, 6 kg and 134 grams of the suspected narcotic substance "Heroin", 5 mobile phones, 256 cartridges (TT model pistol), 20 model 12 shotgun cartridges and a vehicle were seized.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça.
