A 27-year-old man has been arrested after fatally hitting a 65-year-old woman in Korça yesterday and then fleeing the scene in the vehicle he was driving.

Korçë-The 27-year-old man who, yesterday afternoon, caused an accident with the vehicle he was driving, resulting in the death of a citizen, and fled the scene of the accident, has been arrested.
Following the two pieces of information provided yesterday evening, regarding the accident on the "Maliq-Korça" road axis, we would like to inform you that the specialists of the Road Traffic Sector detained citizen GM, 27 years old, resident of Dërsnik, Korça.
Citizen GM is suspected of having caused the death of citizen SQ, 65, with the vehicle he was driving, yesterday, at around 17:40, on the "Maliq-Korça" road axis, and of having fled the scene of the accident with the vehicle he was driving.
Police services also made it possible to find the vehicle of citizen GM, who had hidden it in the garage of his apartment.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offenses "Leaving the scene of an accident" and "Violation of traffic rules". (A2 Televizion)
