Police have announced a search for a 27-year-old man for the accident that occurred this afternoon in the village of Bulgarec, Korça.
The young man, after hitting a pedestrian, left the scene, while the 65-year-old woman died in hospital.
The incident occurred at around 5:40 p.m. The Traffic Police have conducted a series of checks and analyzed security camera footage to identify the perpetrator of the accident.
"After an intensive pursuit and detailed checks by the Police, it has been possible to identify the perpetrator. It is citizen GM, 27 years old, resident of Drsnik, who has already been declared wanted," the police explain.
According to official sources, the collision occurred while the victim, a 65-year-old SQ citizen, was walking as a pedestrian. She later died in hospital as a result of her injuries.
Meanwhile, work continues to capture the 27-year-old, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal action. (A2 Televizion)
