Numerous police forces are conducting blitz checks in premises in the city of Korça. The purpose of these checks is to crack down on illegal activities such as gambling and sports betting.
Sources provided by the Korça police told A2 CNN that the checks were mostly focused on several bars in the center of Korça but also in its suburbs.
At the moment, it is learned that 8 people have been arrested and their mobile phones, which were suspected of being used for placing sports bets, have also been seized. The police action is ongoing. (A2 Televizion)
