The Appeals and Sanctions Commission rejected the DP's request not to approve the preliminary election results for the Kukes region for the May 11 elections, writes A2 CNN.
The DP had appealed to the CEC's second instance against the decision to approve the preliminary result, despite its victory in this district, where it received 2 mandates, while the SP received 1.
The opposition has declared that it will not recognize the overall results of the elections, as they were, according to it, an "electoral farce".
In the May 11 elections, the Socialist Party won a historic fourth term, securing a full 83 seats in the Albanian Parliament. While the Democratic Party won 50 seats. (A2 Televizion)
