Former RENEA officer Altin Morina, wanted since May 2024 as part of the "Revanshi" operation, conducted by SPAK, where 50 arrest warrants were issued, has been arrested. According to the investigations of the Special Prosecution Office, the former police officer is accused of collaborating with Durim Bami, considered the "strongman" of Nikla, to organize the cultivation of narcotic plants mainly in the Nikla and Tapiza areas.
This collaboration, SPAK said, took place while Morina was an employee of the State Police, in the Renea department. The 45-year-old is accused of the criminal offense of cultivating narcotic plants, committed within the framework of a structured criminal group.
"The police also found a firearm, a pistol, with Renea's former agent Altin Morina during the search. Along with him, the driver of the vehicle that Morina was driving, a 25-year-old man, was also taken into custody and charged with the criminal offense of supporting the perpetrator of the crime," reported A2 CNN journalist Jensila Kodra.
The former officer has been arrested by the police before. In March 2023, he was arrested after 113 thousand euros were found in the car he was driving in the Kodra e Diellit area.
