Two people have been arrested in Ksamil after attempting to steal items and monetary values from the Ksamil church. Police report that during the attempted theft, the two perpetrators damaged objects inside the church and physically assaulted the church guard.
"Thanks to the immediate reaction of the Police, within the framework of Operation "Fortuna", the two suspected perpetrators, citizens: E. Sh., 39 years old, resident of Saranda; GM, 49 years old, resident of Saranda, were caught red-handed while trying to flee."
The investigations show that these citizens, in collaboration with other persons, are also suspected perpetrators of the theft of five apartments in the villages of Finiq Municipality, where they took various items and monetary values.

Thanks to the immediate intervention of the Police, two citizens who attempted to steal items and monetary values in the Ksamil church and exerted violence against the guard were located and arrested.

The services of the Saranda Police Commissariat, after receiving a notification, on 01.02.2025, at around 17:00, that two people were attempting to steal items and monetary values in a church in Ksamil, organized the work and immediately headed towards the scene.
Thanks to the immediate reaction of the Police, as part of Operation "Fortuna", the two suspected perpetrators, citizens:
• E. Sh., 39 years old, resident of Saranda;
• GM, 49 years old, resident of Saranda.

The investigations show that these citizens, in collaboration with other persons, for whom work continues to identify and capture, are also the perpetrators of the theft of five apartments in the villages of the Finiq Municipality, where they stole various items and monetary values.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Saranda, for the criminal offenses of "Destruction or damage to religious objects" and "Theft by force", committed in collaboration. (A2 Televizion)
