The Special Court has upheld the security measure "Arrest in prison" for former RENEA officer Altin Morina.
The hearing was held behind closed doors. According to SPAK, Morina is accused of collaborating with Durim Bami for drug cultivation, mainly in the Nikla and Tapiza areas.
This collaboration, SPAK said, took place while Morina was an employee of the State Police, in the Renea department. The 45-year-old is accused of the criminal offense of cultivating narcotic plants, committed within the framework of a structured criminal group.
The former officer has been arrested by the police before. In March 2023, he was arrested after 113 thousand euros were found in the car he was driving in the Kodra e Diellit area. The court later released him on bail, after Morina claimed that the money had been borrowed from a businessman friend of his for health reasons. (A2 Televizion)
