Ilaria Sula's murder in Italy, suspicions of the involvement of the

The murder of Albanian student Ilaria Sula in Rome has shocked Italian and Albanian public opinion. The suspected perpetrator, her ex-boyfriend Mark Samson, has confessed to the crime, but investigators suspect he did not act alone.

Italian media have revealed the testimony of the parents of Mark Samson, the perpetrator of the murder of Albanian student Ilaria Sula. The woman and her husband may be investigated for collaboration in murder and concealment of the body.

The 23-year-old's body was found in a ravine in Capranica Prenestina, after an attempt to hide the body in a suitcase. The crime is suspected to have taken place in the Samson family's apartment, in the presence of Mark's parents, Nors and Rik Samson, who claim not to have heard anything.

"We were at home, we knew the girl was with Mark. On the night of March 25, we were both at home. We knew that Ilaria had come to visit Mark," they claimed. However, the father previously said that he had gone out and did not return until the next day.

Mark's mother had expressed dissatisfaction with her son's relationship with Ilarian, saying that it "distracted him from his studies."

"I didn't want Mark to always bring Ilarian home. I was afraid it would distract him too much - my son needs to be focused on his studies," she told investigators.

More than ordinary conflicts, it is about a silent hostility towards the daughter, perhaps linked to the mother's religious beliefs.

Investigators are examining whether she and her husband aided in the crime or helped cover it up. Their testimonies are contradictory and incomplete, raising suspicions of collusion.

Two weeks after the murder, the parents of the victim's ex-boyfriend have still not been able to clearly explain what they did during those 24 hours and what their role was in their son's actions: murdering a girl locked in his room, then - during the day - putting the body in a suitcase, after wrapping it in a plastic bag, loading it into the family car - on the street, not in a garage - and driving it to throw it into a ravine 40 kilometers from Rome.

The suspicions against Nors and Rik Samson are considered more than justified, also due to the fact that it seems very difficult to believe that Mark committed this entire crime alone. Now the relationship between the mother and her son's ex-girlfriend is also under the scrutiny of investigators. (A2 Televizion)
