Mark Antony Samson, the 23-year-old who confessed to the murder of his ex-girlfriend Ilaria Sula, a student of Albanian origin, stated that he did not premeditate the crime. He did this during his interrogation to confirm his arrest, which lasted over five hours, before the investigating judge.
Prosecutors accuse the young man of aggravated intentional murder and concealment of a corpse, saying he attempted to dispose of Ilaria's body by throwing it into a valley, after locking it in a suitcase.
He said he killed her on the morning of March 26, after she went to his apartment the night before.
The suspect explained that the young woman had gone to the apartment on Via Homs, in the African neighborhood, on the evening of the 25th to return some of his clothes. According to him, she had stayed up late at night and therefore preferred to sleep with her ex to avoid public transportation.
According to the boy, the two had recently ended a relationship that had been going on for several months with ups and downs.
The suspect then claimed that he had done everything alone and when questioned by the investigating judge about the role of the parents, he exercised his right not to answer. The boy said that he loaded the body into the car, after locking it in a suitcase, and abandoned it in a valley. The 23-year-old also claimed that he had cleaned up the scene of the attack.
