Nuredin Dumani and Gentian Sharra, the two defendants in the "Golden Bullet" case, faced each other in court this Thursday, in an open-door session.
Gentian Sharra has pleaded not guilty, contradicting Dumani's statements, which implicate him in several criminal events. Sharra stated that in 2017, his business declarations to the Tax Office in Elbasan amounted to 2 billion and 430 million lekë and, according to him, he had no reason to participate in the robbery for 2 thousand pounds.
"From 2012 to today I have been taking tenders and I continue to do so today. Now the prosecution has seized them. I am a regular taxpayer. I had 13 businesses. Bar, restaurant, lottery, service, wholesale point. At the time when the gentleman says we committed theft together, I had 13 businesses. I met Dumani at my bar. I knew him as a sick man. His brother would come and talk to Talo Çela. I don't know where Nuredin Dumani is putting up these intrigues and giving me a negative image. In 2017, if you look at the declarations to the Tax Office in Elbasan, I had 2 billion and 430 million lek. I had 200 million lek in dividends. Is there any logic for Gentian Sharra to go to Berat to steal 2,000 pounds?", said Sharra.
Sharra further accuses Nuredin Dumani of asking for 200 thousand euros to ease his criminal charges. "On September 9, 2023, Dumani's prison cell was vandalized by a boy from Durrës. Then that boy came to my room and asked me for 200 thousand euros on behalf of Dumani, in exchange for easing his criminal charges. Let the security cameras be verified," said Sharra.
Further, Gentian Sharra's lawyer asked Nuredin Dumani if he ever wanted to kill Gentian Sharra.
"Lawyer, we're going to 2020. I expect we're even earlier. If I had loved you, you wouldn't have wanted to be there in the cage," Dumani said. (A2 Televizion)
