The Rinas police have cracked down on three cases of attempts to take euros and lek out of Albania, without declaring them according to the law at the border. During the checks, 99,270 euros and 1,240,000 new lek were seized from 3 people who were attempting to cross to Dubai, Paris and Bologna.
"A Ukrainian citizen OR, 43 years old, who was traveling from Rinas to Dubai, has been criminally prosecuted. During the search, 76,000 euros were found and seized from this citizen, which he attempted to take out of Albania without declaring at the border.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against the Albanian citizen MF, 34 years old, who was traveling to Paris, where during the check the police services found and seized 11,370 euros which he had not declared at the border according to the law. The above citizen was refused exit from the Republic of Albania.
