The repentant justice minister, Erion Alibej, testified again today at the Special Court, about some of the sensational criminal events that occurred in Elbasan in recent years.
Alibey said that for the murder of the Haxhia brothers, he had given Nuredin Dumani two Kalashnikovs and a pistol, along with the car that would be used in the assassination.
He also added that the plan to kill them included Besmir Haxhia and Altin Ndoci, and not Viktor Haxhia, writes A2 CNN.
According to Alibej, Viktor Haxhia was confused with Altin Ndoc. He further said that after the murder of the two brothers, the murder of Altin Ndoc was planned at their funeral, which according to him did not happen because he did not go to the funeral.
Excerpt from the testimony in the Criminal Court:
Alibej: For the murder of the Haxhia brothers, I gave Nuredin 2 Kalashnikovs and 1 pistol, as far as I remember, I gave him whatever he asked me. I gave him the weapons along with the car, the plan was to kill Altin Ndoci and Besmir Haxhina, not Viktor. The news that I heard about it came out on TV soon after, that the Toyota was found abandoned. I told Nuredin why there were blood stains on the car. He told me we shot through the windows and the bullets injured his leg "someone". Then the "nephew" was taken to the police and Nuredin told me "it seems to me that this guy is talking" and as soon as I found out he had heard about it from the neighbors, from "Miri i Pojës" who Nuredin had a friend.
Alibej: Viktor Haxhia was there by chance. Altin Ndoci was also in the car, but he got off on the way, because he was a target, they didn't know that Viktor was in the car, they thought it was Altin Ndoci. I was discussing with Nuredin about the funeral of the Haxhia brothers, because they could execute Altin Ndoci on the day of the funeral. I was in favor, but it didn't happen because he didn't go to the funeral.
Alibej: I also had a friend in Kukës, Bujar Gërmizin. I told Nuredini that he needed some OFL-style clothing. He said yes, and from Bujar I got some OFL-style, police clothing, and I gave it to Nuredini. The vest and the kambale, with the OFL inscription, were made in Kosovo. I got them in Kukës.
