The Special Court of Appeal has decided to leave in force the security measures of "prison arrest" for the former judge of Elbasan, Pajtime Fetahu, and for the brothers Xhino and Marsel Roka, who were considered "soldiers" of the Suel Çela gang.
"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of Judge Dhimitër Lara, today on 14.01.2025, announced the decision on criminal case no. 2, act, date 06.01.2025 registration, on the appeal of the persons under investigation MR, Xh.R., EQ, PF, with the subject: "Appeal against decision no. 138, date 22.11.2024 and no. 146, dated 27.11.2024, of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime”, disposed of in the case of personal security measures, and decided: “Approval of decision n.138 dated 22/11/2024 and decision n.146 dated 27/11/2024 of the Judge examining the requests of the parties during the preliminary investigations at the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, for the appellants Mr.M.R., Mr.Xh.R. and Ms.PF”.
Through the same decision, the Court of Appeal overturned the "compulsion to appear" measure that the first instance court imposed on journalist Elton Qyno.
"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime decided to repeal decision no. 138 dated 22/11/2024 and decision no. 146 dated 27/11/2024 of the Judge who examines the requests of the parties during the preliminary investigations at the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, for the appellant investigator zEQ".
A mandatory reporting measure was in force against Qynos for the criminal offense of passive corruption in the private sector, as part of the criminal proceedings for the Suel Çela file. (A2 Televizion)
