The head of SPAK, at the roundtable organized by the Center for Studies and Democracy, emphasized that "the attempt to portray SPAK as repressive has failed."
"The figures speak for themselves: only 9% are detained. As for corruption and criminal offenses committed on duty, 50% have been investigated while at large. They have been investigated with travel bans, reporting obligations... If you divide these 9%, the absolute majority are subjects of organized crime," said Dumani.
"So, the Special Prosecution is cautious in the requests it makes for security measures. We are very attentive and careful. In fact, there is a downward trend in the application of detention in prison," Dumani added.
