A 62-year-old man has been arrested by police in Fier, after being wanted by Italian authorities.
During the operation "Operacionalja 31", citizen Alban Dauti was arrested. The Italian justice system has sentenced him to over 8 years in prison for participating in a criminal organization and drug trafficking.
"The Directorate of the Special Operational Force of the DPSSh, during the operation "Operacionalja 31", located and captured in Fier, the citizen Alban Dauti, 62 years old, born in Fier. The judicial authorities in Milan have sentenced this citizen to 8 years and 8 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in narcotics", committed within the framework of a criminal organization", informs the police.
Interpol Tirana is cooperating with its Italian counterparts to extradite this citizen to Italy. (A2 Televizion)
