Comedian Gazmend Paja, who is also a member of the Tirana Municipal Council from the ranks of the Socialist Party, appeared at SPAK this morning.
Gazmend Paja in 2019 received strategic investor status from the Strategic Investment Committee, a decision for which the Democratic Party requested that SPAK investigate.
The actor has gained strategic investor status to build a resort in Dhërmi, a project that would be realized thanks to the cooperation between 2 companies worth 13.8 million euros, but for the opposition, politicians and people connected to crime are behind the actor.
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha described the decision declaring Paja a strategic investor as abusive and a political reward for the actor's ties to the Socialist Party.
"It is reprehensible and absolutely unacceptable! I have nothing against Gaz Paja's artistic gifts, but these others have nothing in common with art; on the contrary, with the darkest vices of man," said Berisha.
The actor himself reacted to the statements from the DP, saying in a reaction on social networks that he has benefited from 0 m2 of land from the state, while explaining that the Startek and Ecotech companies have signed an agreement with a foreign company specializing in the field of tourism to build a tourist resort.
