Shocking new details have emerged from the investigation into the murder of 22-year-old Albanian Ilaria Sula in Italy, who was brutally murdered by Mark Antony Samson. According to forensic police reports obtained by the LaPresse agency, the crime took place in Samson's apartment at Via Homs 8, in the African neighborhood of Rome, where significant amounts of blood were found in almost every room.
Investigators believe the murder occurred on the evening of March 25, not the morning of the 26th, as the suspect stated in his confession. The victim was stabbed in the neck area, causing a large flow of blood that ended up on the hallway walls, floor, and other objects in the apartment.
Experts used luminol to detect traces of blood smeared on the shower tile, bathroom and kitchen sinks. Other traces were also found on the handles and handles of cleaning brushes, as well as in a cardboard box hidden on top of a cupboard. A large blood stain was also discovered on the inside of the left front door of Samson's vehicle, where several long locks of hair, suspected to belong to Ilaria, were also found.
Despite efforts to clean up the crime scene on March 26, the blood stains were not completely removed. Police seized a receipt from a detergent store near the apartment, which proves the purchase of cleaning products that same day. Investigators suspect that several other people may have intervened to help clean up and hide the evidence.
Ilaria's body was discovered on April 2 on a mountain slope in Guadagnolo, in the municipality of Capranica Prenestina, a few days after her disappearance. According to investigations, the victim stayed for at least 20 hours in Samson's apartment before being transported and hidden in the mountainous area.
Investigations continue, while justice authorities are working to fully unravel this case that has shocked Italian public opinion and beyond.
