Sources for A2 CNN have confirmed that after the Special Court upheld the security measure of arrest in prison for the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, he was taken in a police van to the Durrës detention center.
Earlier, the court deemed the arrest measure for Veliaj legal, while changing the measure for his wife, leaving her under obligation to appear.
In Durrës detention center, Erion Veliaj will also find former minister Ilir Beqaj, who has been behind bars for several months for abusing SASPAC funds. (A2 Televizion)
