A2 CNN has made it possible to shed light on the debates in the court session against Erion Veliaj and his associates in the Special Court.
It is learned that Veliaj had a strong argument with the prosecutor in the case, Olsi Dado, whom he indirectly accused of stalking his wife.
On the other hand, Dado has asked him to maintain ethics, telling him not to say such things, since he is in the courtroom and not on Facebook.
We recall that Veliaj previously asked prosecutor Dado to withdraw from the case, as according to him, he has a conflict of interest.
Veliaj claimed that Dado asked Veliaj for a building permit and was dissatisfied, but the truth is that the prosecutor does not appear to have a construction company, but on one of his properties, a building was built by other investors.
Excerpts from the debate:
Veliaj: I don't understand why I'm under arrest. I'm a mayor who was elected by the people of Tirana and I did my duty. If I've stepped on someone's toes, it's been my family. I worked not only during the week, but also during the weekend and holidays. Working people become targets of attack and find themselves in the situation I'm in today. Regarding a villa mentioned in Qerret in the file, Veliaj claims that it's not his. But there's nothing unusual about my son's toys being found at his grandparents' house.
My wife is a mistress and has been perversely persecuted by SPAK and prosecutors from the Special Prosecution Office.
Nanny: Be careful with etiquette. All outfits had a unique code and were personal lipstick and jewelry.
Veliaj: I don't know why this bothered you, because I could also have this with politics or the media.
Dado: Because you wrote it on Facebook. You're not on Facebook here, you're in court, so stick to the evidence and the facts. (A2 Televizion)
