The Tirana police arrested four people who are accused of selling ecstasy, mainly in the area of the former Block. Ergis Noka, Drin Vjerdha, Kristofor Pandelejmoni and Mario Çerra ended up in handcuffs. The four young men have been kept under observation and surveillance for several months by the agents. It is learned that they worked as journalists at the public.al news portal.
One of the arrested, Ergis Noka, is also the son of the director of the portal. The office was located in the area of the former Block and, according to the police, it is suspected that they used it for the distribution of narcotics. During the inspection, equipment used for the cultivation of cannabis was also found in the portal's offices.
The investigative team suspects that the arrested were cultivating drugs in other countries. During the operation, the police also seized 300 ecstasy tablets, which are suspected to have been supplied through Kosovo and Serbia. The price of ecstasy was sold at 10,000 ALL in bulk, while a single tablet cost 30,000 ALL. (A2 Televizion)
