The capital's Traffic Police have detained 1 wanted citizen, who was sentenced to 5 years in prison by the Court of Appeals for the production and sale of narcotics.
This is 41-year-old Mariglen Abedini, who was arrested after being stopped by traffic officers.
"Following the monitoring and verifications on all road axes of the capital, with the aim of ascertaining road violations and punishing their perpetrators, the services of the Tirana Traffic Police Commissariat have stopped the "Volkswagen" vehicle driven by citizen Mariglen Abedini, 41 years old. After verifications, it turned out that he was currently wanted, because the Court of Appeal had sentenced him to 5 years in prison, for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics"", the Police announced.
The Narcotics Investigation Specialists of the Tirana Local Police Directorate handcuffed the 41-year-old, with the aim of executing this decision.
