An Italian citizen, declared internationally wanted, has been arrested by police in the city of Durrës. Authorities say that Antonio Goffredo, who was detained with the aim of extradition to Venezuela, has been arrested.
"The Border Police Services at the Port of Durres, based on information provided by police intelligence that a citizen on international wanted list would travel to Italy, have intensified controls to capture him. As a result, the Italian citizen AG, 51 years old, resident in Italy, was caught attempting to leave Albania and arrested for extradition. This citizen had been declared internationally wanted by Interpol Caracas, after the Caracas Court, in 2017, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Fraud", provided for by the Venezuelan Criminal Code", the police explain.
Meanwhile, Interpol Tirana continues to cooperate with Interpol Caracas to extradite Goffredo to Venezuela. (A2 Televizion)
