Tirana Incinerator, court: Alqi Bllako benefited from around 120 thousand euros

Former Socialist MP, Alqi Bllako, returned to the Special Court this Tuesday to face charges of "passive corruption of senior state officials" in the Tirana incinerator case.

Unlike the trials of the Fier and Elbasan incinerator files, in this process, Bllako is being tried separately from his co-defendants.

The court accepted the former MP's request for a summary trial, a type of trial that reduces the sentence by one third in the event of guilt. After reading the request for a trial, the court invited the parties to final conclusions and set January 29 as the date for reading SPAK's claim against Bllako.

According to SPAK, during his time as Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, he is suspected of having received money worth around 120 thousand euros and 7 million 520 thousand lek through Vladimir Bezhani from the concession company for the construction of the incinerator.

Bllako proposed to Bezhani to provide legal advice on the Tirana incinerator issue before making the unsolicited proposal regarding this matter, A2 CNN reports.

Bllako asked Klodian Zoto to hire Bezhani at that time. The latter was an external advisor to Minister Koka, although he was paid by the company "Integrated Technology Services sh.pk". (A2 Televizion)
