Tirana police have arrested a 48-year-old man who, while under house arrest, threatened to kill his wife and son, reports A2 CNN.

"The services of the Police Commissariat No. 6, have just been notified that last night, in an apartment on "Haki Stërmilli" street, a citizen was threatening his family members, for their lives, with a cutting tool (machete), they have gone to the scene. As a result of professional police intervention, the criminal incident in this family was prevented, and the suspected perpetrator of the case, citizen EB, 48 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto. From further verifications regarding the case, it resulted that the 48-year-old was currently under the security measure "House arrest", for the criminal offense "Theft"", the police said.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
