The Vlora Court has imposed the security measure of "prison arrest" for citizen Saimir, the father of the 17-year-old who a few days ago attempted to end his life by shooting himself with a firearm.
The 43-year-old is accused of the criminal offenses of “Domestic Violence” and “Causing Suicide.” During the court session, the defense requested a lighter security measure, but Judge Bevil Beqiraj accepted the prosecution's request, imposing the most severe measure — imprisonment.
The serious incident took place at the girl's grandfather's apartment in Vlora, where the minor shot herself in the head with a firearm. She is in serious condition at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
The girl's grandfather has also been placed under investigation, while the police continue to work to clarify the circumstances and find the crime weapon, which is suspected to have been hidden by family members. (A2 Televizion)
