A 21-year-old Belgian man, while maneuvering a floating vehicle (which was being driven by someone else) in the Kavaja Rock area, lost control and fell into the water.
Through a statement, the Police announced that he initially went to the Durrës hospital for help and then to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, for more specialized help, as he is in critical condition.
The police have accompanied the owner of the vessel, citizen S. Xh., to the police station for further procedural actions.
Meanwhile, a special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is continuing its work to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the event.

At around 8:00 PM, the Durrës Hospital Emergency Service announced that Belgian citizen HK, 21 years old, had gone for medical assistance.
Immediately after the notification, the Police services went to the hospital and from the first investigative actions it resulted that in the area of Shkëmbi i Kavajës, near the coast, this citizen is suspected of having lost control of a watercraft (Jet Ski) during maneuvers and fallen into the water.
As a result, he suffered serious injuries and was immediately transported from the Durrës Regional Hospital to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is in serious condition.
