The Kavaja police have identified and prosecuted the two perpetrators of the arson in the villages of Gosë e Madhe and Luz i Madh. According to the police, they are suspected of starting a fire to burn waste and as a result of the spread of the flames, two plots of land owned by them were burned.
"The services of the Kavaja Police Commissariat, yesterday evening, as soon as they received the notification that a fire had broken out in two villages in Kavaja, immediately headed towards the scene. As a result of rapid investigative actions, the Police services made it possible to identify the suspected perpetrators, citizens RS and FK, who are suspected of having started a fire to burn waste and as a result of the spread of the flames, two areas of land owned by them were burned," the police announced.
Subsequently, the proceedings were initiated in the absence of citizens RS, 66 years old, resident of the village of Gosë e Madhe, and FK, 70 years old, resident of the village of Luz i Madh. The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office.
The Durrës Local Police Directorate appeals to all citizens not to light fires under any circumstances, as they will face the law.
