Wrong parking on the streets of Himara has cost a 22-year-old man from Tirana dearly, who has been criminally prosecuted.
The young man had blocked the road with his vehicle, preventing the fire truck from passing, so the Road Traffic Services in Himara imposed an administrative fine of 20,000 lek.
"The structures of the Himara Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Road Traffic services, following the controls to identify and punish cases of incorrect parking that impede the free movement of vehicles and pedestrians, especially emergency vehicles, intervened immediately after being notified of an incorrectly parked vehicle, on "25 Marsi" street, in the city of Himara.
During the verifications, it was found that a "BMW" type vehicle had been parked incorrectly, blocking the roadway and preventing the passage of a fire truck, which was in an emergency situation.
The driver of the vehicle, citizen A. Sh., 22 years old, resident of Tirana, was escorted together with the vehicle to the premises of the Himara Police Commissariat, where, after actions carried out by Crime Investigation specialists, he was criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Obstructing the movement of means of transport", provided for by Article 293 of the Criminal Code", the police inform.
