Shkodra police have arrested the ambulance driver of the Koplik hospital, Perlat Semaj, after he is accused of being the cause of the accident that occurred on Thursday morning on the Shkodra-Koplik road.
In this accident that occurred near the village of Çezme, 55-year-old Abaz Kuka was the victim.
The victim was the driver of the vehicle that was hit by the ambulance driven by Semaj during a wrong-way overtaking.
"Following the information provided yesterday, regarding an accident on the "Shkodër-Hani i Hotit" road axis, we inform you that the specialists of the Road Police Sector arrested citizen PS, 65 years old, for the criminal offense of "Violation of road traffic rules". The 65-year-old, driving the ambulance of the Koplik Hospital, as a result of a wrong overtaking, collided with the driver of the vehicle, citizen AK, 57 years old, who lost his life as a result", the police announced.
The authorities also explain that as a result of the accident, two passengers, citizens SK, 43 years old, and DK, 18 years old, ( the victim's wife and daughter ), were also injured, and are in Shkodra Regional Hospital, out of danger to their lives. (A2 Televizion)
