A fire was detected at noon in the hills of Orikum. The fire, which broke out as a result of the burning of an electrical transformer, is being helped by the wind to spread very close to residential areas.
As a result, part of the hill, some olive tree roots, and vegetation were burned.
Thanks to the timely intervention of the Vlora fire brigade team, it was possible to locate and extinguish the fire.
The danger to homes in the area has now ended. It is suspected that the arson may have been intentional, in addition to the power transformer being the cause.
