A 35-year-old man has been arrested by police on "Sami Frashëri" Street in the capital, after distributing cocaine in various areas of Tirana, while a 28-year-old man has been placed under investigation for failing to report a crime.
The 35-year-old, identified as Erdi Shima, was arrested during a search of the vehicle in which he was traveling with the 28-year-old.
Police services found a bag of cocaine weighing 480 grams, which was seized as material evidence along with the vehicle.

In continuation of the work on the successive strikes on criminal activity in the field of narcotics, based on information that a citizen possessed and dealt with the distribution of cocaine narcotics as part of a proactive proceeding, the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Tirana Police Department under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office conducted the anti-drug operation codenamed "Next", within which citizen E. Sh., 35 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto. Citizen DM, 28 years old, was also criminally prosecuted.
The Narcotics Investigation Section of the Tirana Local Police Directorate has collected information, thanks to police intelligence, as part of a proactive proceeding, that citizen E. Sh was involved in the distribution of the narcotic substance cocaine, in large quantities, in different areas of the city of Tirana.
Based on the information collected, thanks to quick and operational actions, the vehicle with driver E. Sh and passenger D. M was stopped on "Sami Frashëri" street.
During the search of the vehicle in which these two citizens were traveling, the Police found a bag of cocaine weighing 480 grams, which was seized as material evidence along with the vehicle.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
