The State Police informs that thanks to cooperation with partners in Germany and the United Kingdom, the arrest of two wanted persons has been made possible in recent days.
In Germany, citizen Danjel Lalaj, 21 years old, born in Puka, has been detained for extradition purposes, after the Criminal Court, in 2021, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group;
Meanwhile, in the United Kingdom, Bekim Çelaj, 25, born in Tropoja, was arrested after the Court in 2022 assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offenses of "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."
Interpol Tirana continues to cooperate with counterparts to finalize the procedures for the extradition of 2 citizens to Albania. (A2 Televizion)
