After more than two months of trial in secret and the end of SPAK prosecutors' questions against the repentant justice, Nuredin Dumani, the Special Court decided to open the doors to the trial against the defendants in the "Golden Bullet" case.
At Thursday's hearing, among four masked police officers wearing bulletproof vests, the repentant justice official, Nuredin Dumani, began answering questions from the defendants' lawyers.
For the defendant's lawyer Gentian Sharra, Dumani shared details about several armed robberies that occurred in Elbasan, Kavajë and Berat, writes A2.
"I didn't know how to rob, Talo Çela and Gentian Sharra taught me," said Dumani.
The repentant said that Sharra was the organizer of a robbery of 8.3 kg of gold and several precious watches from a jeweler in Elbasan: "We were going to do the hit in a car park. I hit him on the head with a crowbar. After he fell to the ground, I, an Ilirjan Feçi, took a bag from him. I did not record the victim's name. He did not interest me. Then we went to Talos' house. We went up to the second floor. We emptied the bags of gold. We took the bags so that there were no tracers."
In another episode in Kavaja, at the end of 2012 and beginning of 2013, Dumani said that they had robbed 20 million lek, which they had divided into 4 parts: "Work for us is robbery, murder, theft. We call this work. When someone finds a job, robbery for example, they study the area, the person's movements and so on and create a kind of security about how much money the 'victim' has with them, that they have responsibility. The one who finds the job can take 10 percent, or 15 and not come there at all. Or they take the same as us. We divide it 50 by 50".
A money changer in 2018 in Elbasan, Dumani said he was robbed in the morning, when Muslim believers were going to a nearby mosque. "Unfortunately, all money changers go out at this hour. We were waiting for him in a car with black windows. I got out, pointed the gun at him and said 'don't move'. He not only didn't stop, but walked towards me and said 'shoot me'. I shot him twice in the chest and once in the kneecap."
Dumani also confessed to several house robberies, which they had entered together with Talo Çela, Gentian Sharra and others, terrorizing the family members they found inside with guns to the head.
From the cage of the courtroom, Gentian Sharra denied everything the repentant said, considering it an intrigue. Sharra said that at the time he was being manipulated by Dumani, he owned 13 businesses, that since 2013 he had been receiving state tenders and that it made no sense for him to be involved in a robbery for 3 thousand pounds.
Further, he requested an investigation into the visit of a painter from Durres to prison 313, who, after painting Nuredin Dumani's cell in his name, had asked for 200 thousand euros in exchange for excluding his name from criminal events. But, the hearing culminated when Sharra's lawyer asked twice in a row whether the penitent had ever wanted to kill his client. "If I had wanted to, he wouldn't be there in the cage," the penitent said in a calm tone.
After moments filled with rambling, one of the defendants' lawyers in the courtroom claimed that she was threatened with her life by the repentant Dumani. "Before you adjourn the session, please listen to the audio transcript of the session. While you were talking, the repentant told me 'I'll deal with you too, you're the only one left without killing me'. We can't be threatened like this!", said the lawyer, a situation that was also reported with concern by her colleagues. (A2 Televizion)
