A trivial argument in a barbershop in Rome's Centocelle neighborhood ended in a serious incident. According to Italian media, a 29-year-old Albanian man stabbed a 24-year-old Indian barber in the neck with scissors.
The incident took place on Filippo Parlatore Street, where the Albanian with a criminal record got into a conflict with the Indian employee. During the argument, he grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the victim in the neck, leaving him seriously injured.
The victim, although seriously injured, is out of danger. He was urgently taken to the Umberto I hospital, where he is under medical observation.
After the attack, the perpetrator fled on foot, but was identified and arrested by the carabinieri a few hours later following surveillance of security cameras and the testimonies of bystanders.
He was caught the next morning in a park in the Tor Sapienza area.
Investigations also revealed that the 29-year-old Albanian was wanted after violating a court-ordered house arrest for previous offenses, including drug trafficking, forgery of documents, and resistance to a police officer.
He is currently in Rebibbia prison, charged with attempted murder, and is expected to appear before a judge in the coming days. (A2 Televizion)
