SPAK completes investigations into the Toyota Auris file. The file is expected to go to trial, writes A2.
Defendants who have been notified of the charges have been received; Aurel Zarka, for corruption and exercise of influence; Erjona Daupaj, for corruption, exercise of influence and disclosure of secret acts; Radovan Çela, for active corruption and exercise of influence; Astrit Vlasi, for active corruption.
The lawyers are expected to file objections to the charges within 10 days.
Initially, the case was investigated by Serious Crimes, but charges of criminal group and money laundering were dropped. The file was transferred to the new prosecutor's office. Then, the Court of Tirana convicted Elvis Vladi, Alban Mollaymeri and Alfred Vladi on the charge of not declaring money at the border.
The case was then re-investigated by SPAK, after the 4 defendants emerged from SkyECC wiretapping while communicating to intervene with justice officials in order to have the charges dropped. (A2 Televizion)
