A2 CNN has provided the names and photos of some of the people arrested from the joint police operation with Albania and Kosovo, where with the help of Europol, a network of arms and narcotics trafficking was destroyed.
Valter Osmani, is a citizen of the Republic of Albania, arrested in Kosovo. For this reason, the Tirana Police searched his apartment in Kombinat, where some of the weapons were seized, A2 CNN reports.
During the operation in the capital, 34-year-old Endri Papa was also arrested; Aurel Manreka, 28 years old; Gersi Llozhi, 22 years old; Kleos Muçalliu, 26 years old and Tonin Shkambi, 53 years old.
According to the information provided by A2 CNN, Osmani often went to Kosovo to get and find weapons, which he then brought to Tirana with other associates by car and bus. He is expected to be extradited to Tirana in the future as all the evidence against him has been found here.
The exchange of weapons for cocaine was based on type, from 25 to 30 grams for handguns and more for larger weapons. The latter were mainly sports and it is suspected that they were modified in Kosovo, but the authorities there have not yet found the place or the base where the process was carried out. Entering Kosovo, it is suspected that they were smuggled across the border from Turkey, and then work began on their modification into firearms. (A2 Televizion)
