Tonin Qafa had been living in America for many years and had returned to our country for the last 3 months. Shortly after midnight, at around 00:35, his apartment exploded with TNT. As yet unidentified persons had placed a quantity of explosives at the outer gate of the house. The incident occurred in the area known as Bregu i Lumit, in Tirana. Fortunately, there were no injuries to people from the explosion, but only material damage. As a result, the outer door of the apartment was damaged, as well as a vehicle that was parked nearby.
It is learned that in 2009, Toni Qafës' brother was killed and since then, his family, originally from Fushë-Arrëz, moved to America.
However, the police do not connect the TNT explosion with the incident at that time. But as a lead to solve the incident, investigators have focused on possible conflicts that Tonin Qafë's nephews and sons, who live outside Albanian territory and are suspected of being involved in drug trafficking, may have.
