50-year-old Amela Drini, of Albanian origin, has died after a serious accident that occurred in Italy, in the municipality of Follina.
According to foreign media, Drini was hit by a car on March 13. Immediately after the accident, he was taken to the hospital, but despite assistance, he was unable to survive and passed away yesterday, March 20.
It is learned that the cause of the tragedy was apparently poor visibility and heavy rain that evening, which did not allow the driver to avoid a collision with the 50-year-old woman, who lived a few steps away from where the accident occurred, on via Sofia Da Camino.
The 50-year-old received a fatal blow to the head and remained in intensive care for a week, but unfortunately yesterday she closed her eyes forever, writes A2 CNN.
The local administration of the area where she lived has expressed heartfelt condolences to Amela Drini's family.
"In this moment of great sorrow, we stand with the family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him, sharing the burden of this painful loss," the announcement said, reports A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
