Two robbers from Vlora have been arrested in the capital as part of the operation codenamed "Reaction".
Tirana police arrested Arbnor Xhimaj and Lejdjan Gjoka after the duo stole a safe containing 15,000 euros from an apartment in the "21 Dhjetori" area.
" The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 2, in cooperation with the Vlora Local Police Directorate, after a citizen reported that a safe containing a large amount of money had been stolen from his apartment, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Reaction" to solve the case.
As a result of the operation, the following citizens were identified, arrested and put in handcuffs: A. Xh., 40 years old and L. Gj., 38 years old, both residents of Vlora, previously convicted of theft. The verifications showed that citizen A. Xh. was under the security measure "House arrest", for the criminal offense "Theft". From the investigations carried out during the operation, it is suspected that these citizens, on 02.06.2025, stole a safe with 15,000 euros, in an apartment on 'Muhamet Gjollesha' street ", the police inform.
The two arrested individuals were previously convicted of theft, and one of them was even under house arrest on the day the robbery was committed, for the same criminal offense.
Police have also seized the vehicle suspected of being used by the perpetrators to carry out the theft. (A2 Televizion)
