The Tirana Court has decided to impose the security measure of arrest in prison for citizen Flodian Plaku, also known by the surnames Mamo and Serjani, who was arrested two days ago in a hotel in the Orikum area.
The 42-year-old was considered a high-risk person and was wanted for the murder of former police officer Gentian Bejtja.
Before the jury, Plaku denied having any connection to the incident, claiming that the police only started looking for him after he used a Golf-type vehicle 10 days before this crime.
Flodian Plaku was represented in court by court-appointed lawyer Edvis Gorishti, who requested a more lenient security measure, but was refused.
According to information, Plaku's mobile phones were also seized during his arrest. They were sent to SPAK because they contained numerous pieces of evidence, including conversations about previously organized criminal events, drug deals, and events in progress.
The phones will be disassembled by SPAK and the expectations are that they will play a key role in uncovering events or characters in the dark world. (A2 Televizion)
