Martin Can's parents appeared this Thursday at the Tirana Court, where a preliminary hearing will be held and it will be decided whether or not the case against the suspected perpetrator of the murder of the 14-year-old, Mario Përlleshaj, will go to trial, writes A2 CNN.
Also seen with Engjëll and Florina Canin is Martin's friend, Luis Meçja, who was injured with a knife during the fight that took place near the "Fan Noli" school in Tirana last November. Accompanied by his father, Luis is seen standing next to and shaking hands with Martin's mother.
The 14-year-old, suspected of stabbing his peer, Martin Cani, will also appear in this session. The perpetrator is accused of "Murder under qualifying circumstances against a minor."
The incident occurred on November 18, 2024, in Tirana, about 200 meters from the “Fan Noli” school. The conflict between the two teenagers had started three days earlier inside the school premises for weak motives. Although it had apparently died down, it flared up again inside the school.
The two minors clashed in the school toilets during the morning and argued violently, but were separated by a security guard. After class, accompanied by their friends, they met near the school, where the conflict escalated into a physical fight, ending with the murder of Martin and the injury of Luis. (A2 Televizion)
