The best ambassadors, it is often said, are artists and athletes. They are the ones who, beyond the flags, also give important messages. A team with dreams can succeed. Thus, a group of young photographers from the Western Balkans have joined a mission of the European Delegation, which invited them to an artistic competition, a project that today tells us, through 18 images at the House of Europe, as much dreams as messages of unification towards Europe, writes A2 CNN.
"Today we have not gathered to see how the photographs of these young people from the Western Balkans have been exhibited, but to give them a voice. We asked them: What does Europe look like to you? How would you run towards it? What can we do better? The topic was sports, because of teamwork and unification for success, but the young people with these photographs have said quite a bit," said Silvio Gonzato, the European Union Ambassador to Albania.
Armando Babani, photojournalist and member of the campaign jury, said that among the 200 applications, they decided to exhibit the 18 best photographs at the House of Europe in Tirana, as has also happened in Belgrade, Podgorica and Skopje.
Champion Klodiana Shala was one of the speakers at this event, which brought together young people in images and in the desire and aspiration to be together on the European path, just like they once did when they competed in a Europe that taught them a lot. Even raising their voice about the injustices or the conditions in which Albanian athletes still thrive, work, train and dream. (A2 Televizion)
