5 minutes of voting in Parliament, Chuçi: We will not leave the Albanians without a budget for the DP chair

"We will not leave Albania without a budget, because we are not in crisis for the chair of the chairman of the Democratic Party." This was the reaction of the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Bledi Çuçi, after the approval in principle of the draft budget and the Fiscal Package for 2024 in just 5 minutes in Parliament.

“Same scene, same landscape. Nothing new from their behavior", said Çuçi, referring to the behavior of the deputies of Sali Berisha's group, who lit cigarette lighters, flares and turned the chairs upside down on the lectern again, this plenary session as well.

According to him, the only thing that matters today is the approval of what he described as "the biggest public budget in the history of these years."

The head of the SP Parliamentary Group told the opposition colleagues that the internal war has caused them to turn their attention away from the interests of the citizens.

"We are talking about alternatives and not smokers. Today when they were supposed to talk, we saw the same scenario." 

Faced with journalists' questions, Çuçi did not accept that the budget for the next year was passed in principle without any discussion, because as he added, the discussions were done in committees.

And, as it seems, the discussion of the budget item by item will be moved to the committees, if the opposition will continue with its action.

As for the increased presence of the Guard of the Republic, the socialists say that it has its job to guarantee normal work in the Assembly. According to Çuçi, there is no crisis in the Parliament, there is only a crisis among the democrats.  (A2 Televizion)
